This study also discussed how difficult it was for them to keep continuing to be participants in the narrative discussion, and what they were expecting from the staff. For this study, we had qualitative descriptive analysis based on semi-structural interviews for the 19 participants who had taken part in the narrative discussion at the psychiatry day care. Through the narrative discussion, the participants found out that the group was a place to be honest, and to explore something new about themselves. On the other hand, they had met some difficulties running the group by themselves, such as how to accept each other. To develop an effective group, the staff needs to accept each participants as who they are, seeing them as an independent/responsible individual in their own communities.
