Hypo-osmotic (60%) bath solution increased a membrane current which was inhibited by the SAC inhibitor, gadolinium. The reversal potential of the hypotonicity-induced current shifted in the positive direction by increasing external K+ concentration. The hypotonicity-induced current was inhibited by extracellular acidic pH, phorbol ester and forskolin. These pharmacological properties are identical to those of arachidonic acid-induced current present in these cells, suggesting the presence of TREK-1, a four-transmembrane two pore domain K+ channel. Using RT-PCR we screened rat bladder smooth muscles and cerebellum for expression of TREK-1, TREK-2 and TRAAK mRNAs. Only TREK-1 mRNA was expressed in the bladder, while all three were expressed in the cerebellum. We conclude that a mechanosensitive K+ channel is present in rat bladder myocytes, which is activated by arachidonic acid and most likely is TREK-1. This K+ channel may have an important role in the regulation of bladder smooth muscle tone during urine storage.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_1617186643794":{"attribute_name":"Publisher","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"The Fukushima Society of Medical Science","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_1617186702042":{"attribute_name":"Language","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_1617186920753":{"attribute_name":"Source Identifier","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0016-2590","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"},{"subitem_source_identifier":"2185-4610","subitem_source_identifier_type":"EISSN"},{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA0065246X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_1617187056579":{"attribute_name":"Bibliographic Information","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"2016","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicIssueNumber":"1","bibliographicPageEnd":"26","bibliographicPageStart":"18","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"62","bibliographic_titles":[{"bibliographic_title":"Fukushima Journal of Medical Science","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_1617258105262":{"attribute_name":"Resource Type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_1617265215918":{"attribute_name":"Version Type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_1617353299429":{"attribute_name":"Relation","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_type":"isIdenticalTo","subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://doi.org/10.5387/fms.2015-20","subitem_relation_type_select":"DOI"}},{"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"26911303","subitem_relation_type_select":"PMID"}},{"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"2017326461","subitem_relation_type_select":"ICHUSHI"}}]},"item_1617605131499":{"attribute_name":"File","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-07-06"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"FksmJMedSci_62_p18.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"823.8 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://fmu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2001910/files/FksmJMedSci_62_p18.pdf"},"version_id":"81ebccff-3fba-4ab5-8fbc-948d277818fc"}]},"item_title":"Swelling-activated and arachidonic acid-induced currents are TREK-1 in rat bladder smooth muscle cells","item_type_id":"40002","owner":"8","path":["1733105750363"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2016-07-06"},"publish_date":"2016-07-06","publish_status":"0","recid":"2001910","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Swelling-activated and arachidonic acid-induced currents are TREK-1 in rat bladder smooth muscle cells"],"weko_creator_id":"8","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-12-02T02:30:43.677549+00:00"}
